Children playing sports need the correct protective eyewear in the same way they need shin pads, protective padding and helmets. Moving balls, bats and jabs from other players can cause serious eye injury which can be avoided if protective eyewear is worn.

Children wearing standard glasses whilst playing sport run the risk of causing serious damage to their eyes as everyday glasses and sunglasses are not tough enough to withstand hard blows and flying objects. For children who enjoy contact sports such as rugby and football it is even more important to invest in the correct sports eye wear.

Our prescription lenses are made from polycarbonate, an impact resistant material with built in ultra violet protection which is an invaluable feature for outdoor sports. The wraparound frames so often seen in sports eye wear appeals to children and helps protect the eyes from all sides.

As well as improving eye safety, the players performance will be improved by the ability to see better because vision affects hand eye co-ordination and depth perception. Better vision = improved performance on the sports field.
